About NATF

Many students know little about aviation and the careers it offers. The National Aviation Tech Fest (NATF) is an awareness programme for students appearing in 12th with science. It is run by Redwings Aerotechnique Pvt. Ltd. in association with the National Students' Space Challenge (NSSC), IIT Kharagpur (Kalpana Chawla Space Technology Cell). Our team visits schools and explains aviation courses and careers at the ground level.

Mission and vision

Mission

To connect every citizen of India with aviation. In line with the Government of India's UDAN scheme, Redwings and the Kalpana Chawla Space Technology Cell at IIT Kharagpur aim to help students across India "fly with confidence" and give them a real platform for their aviation dreams.

Vision

Aviation is one of the most exciting career fields, yet many families still believe it is only for the wealthy. We want to change that. Every Indian student should have the information and the opportunity to build a career in aviation.

Four phases of NATF

  1. School level: a free aviation seminar by experts at your school, with free registration for the next level.
  2. Zonal level: registered students build a working model, such as a drone, RC helicopter or aeroplane, glider or quadcopter. Our experts guide you through doubts and manufacturing practices.
  3. Final level: a national meet where students demonstrate their models and interact with aviation experts, engineers and aeronautical design researchers. The event includes a live tour of an airline, an airport and aviation workshops, and a visit to our manufacturing unit.
  4. Prize ceremony: awards based on overall performance and the quality of the project model.
